Attention all baseball
players participating in a winter sport:
There will be a brief meeting in Coach Rothrock’s room Monday morning at
7:45a.m.
There will be a
meeting in Mrs. Brimley’s room for all National Honor Society members Thursday,
Feb. 9nd at 7:40a.m.
S.A.D.D. will be taking
orders for Valentine’s Day Roses during lunch Feb. 6th –Feb.13th. The roses must be paid for when you order
them. The roses will be passed out
during 9th period on Tuesday, Feb. 14th. The cost of the roses will be $2.25 each.
Attention to all
seniors attending the trip: Your balance
for the trip is due by next Friday at the very latest, unless you are working
conce4ssions over the next 2 weeks. Please
see Mrs. Rajner or Mrs. Huffman if you need to know your balance.
Softball players: A
reminder that softball conditioning is right after school on Tuesday and
Thursday. See Coach Haynes when you are unable to attend. Softball players coming to conditioning
Thursday bring your mit and clothes for outside if the weather permits we will
go outside.
Junior & Senior
Ladies: Are you in need of a beautiful gently-used prom dress
at the right price? Would you rather “Go
Green” and reuse a dress instead of spending your green to buy a dress? Then go shop where there will be over 100
next-to-new, current gowns available at no charge. Gowns are available in all sizes and styles
and some still have the tags on them.
“Don’t Stress Over the Dress” will be held at the Findlay Village Mall
(Storefront between Maurices and Coach House Gifts) Friday, March 9 from 5:00-9:00pm and
Saturday, March 10 from 10:00-3:00pm
Each girl is allowed to receive ONE dress, each girl may bring with her
one female guest (parent or friend) to help her shop. Males will be asked to
sit in waiting area as to make sure girls do not feel self conscience. An adult cannot shop for a girl unless that
girl is present.
Students are invited to
Sentinel Career and Technology Center's "Winter Open House" on
Monday, February 6 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. If you have applied or
are considering attending Sentinel, now is the time to ask questions and
check out the opportunities available. Current students, lab instructors,
business representatives, and college representatives will be available to talk
to throughout the evening. Find out how you can "train for college, a
career and your future" at Sentinel Career and Technology Center.
There is also an "All
you Can Eat Pancake Dinner" (pancakes, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs and
choice of drink) sponsored by the Food Service and Electrical Trades Programs
from 4:30-6:30. Cost is $6.00 for Adults and $3.00 children 12 and under.
Seniors: If you are planning on attending Owens Community
College in the fall, see Mrs. Herr for a scholarship opportunity.
Bascom Lion’s
Scholarship is now available in the Guidance Office.2/3
Any senior who wants to
submit their own senior picture for the end of year video, needs to do so
before February 3rd. Please
submit a wallet sized photo to Trevor Risner or Mrs. Burns. If you don’t submit a photo then your photo
from Gaietto Images will be used.
The Relay for Life teams will
be sponsoring a Harlan’s chicken dinner on Feb. 10 before the boy’s basketball
games and the Coaches vs. Cancer events.
Tickets are $8 and must be preordered.
Attention Seniors: Seniors who will be 18 by
May 1, 2012 who are interested in a career building roads, bridges, dams, and
assist in construction of large buildings and other structures. See Mrs. Herr for more information on becoming
an Ohio Operating Engineer Apprentice.
Students in grades
K-12 are invited to participate in the State of Ohio’s Kids Safe Online poser
contest. The contest is part of a
national contest to promote safe and secure Internet usage among young people. The top three winning posters from each grade
group (K-5, 6-8, 9-12) will be submitted to the Multi-State Cyber Security
Awareness Calendar Contest. Official rules, entry form and information
regarding poster topics are available at www.InfoSec.OHIO.gov Deadline is Sunday, February 19.
