When your student returns to school, a note with the dates of absence, the reason for the absence, and parent signature must be turned into the office.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Boys Cross Country Team for making it to State for the 2nd year in a row.  The H-L Bous Team finished 12th out of 20. Jordan Foster finished 18th as an individual runner and earned All Ohio Honors for the 2nd year in a row. 

CONGRATULATIONS to Gracie Tiell for getting to twirl with the BGSU Marching Band at the football game this past weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS on the Girls Cross Country Team for finishing 13th at the Regional Meet, another great season for them!

Dress for Success - Reminder to all students and fellow staff members. We want as many people as possible to participate and show your Chieftain Pride!

Class of 2020 Fundraiser - Outdoor/Indoor "Chieftain Nation" Metal Sign. 2 colors with Chieftain head-on white metal, 18x24 and only $20 each. Makes great Christmas gifts to be proudly displayed at your home, in your yard or in your barn/garage. Order forms and payment are due to Mr. Daniel by Friday, November 22nd. Signs will be delivered by December 20th, just in time for Christmas. Extra order forms are available in the office.

Class of 2021 Fundraiser- Makes great Holiday Gifts, Shirleys Popcorn!! Flavors include Original Theatre Stye, Classic Flavors, Premium Flavors, Shirley's Gourmet Sampler, Frosted Nuts, and Popcorn Balls. See any Junior to order. Are you in need of Community Service Hours? PTO is hosting Cookies and Canvas on 11/16/19. There are two shifts to choose from, 9:45-Noon and 12:45-3:00. Please see Mrs. Nelson if you're interested in helping out.

H-L Merry Mistletoe Market - Have a jolly holly holiday season at our craft show. Sunday, December 8th,10:00 AM - 5:00 PM in the Chieftain Gym. Admission is $3 in advance and $4 at the door. Students are Free! Food, drinks, Christmas tree raffles, vendor basket raffles, pictures with Santa, and free crafting for kids.

WANTED - Gently used items, for example, Stuffed Animals, Games, Puzzles, Toys, Books, Keychains/Lanyards, Baseball Cards, School Supplies & Candy. Turn all items into Miss Meisner, Mr. Berrier, Mrs. Lucius, Mrs. Jury or Mrs. Burns by Nov. 22nd.

Immunization Records: Are you a 7th grader or 12th grader and got your required shots this year?  We need a copy of your shot records in the office, please bring in ASAP. If you are unsure if we have your current records on hand, please call into the office to check on it. This is only for 7th and 12th graders.

Sports passes -are available now in the office. Adults are $50 for $10 punches and Students are $30 for 10 punches.  Save money and buy your sports pass in the office.

Final Forms - Please access Final Forms ASAP and update and sign all documents, as a parent and student. It's very important to always keep this information accurate and current as this is the emergency contact information we use, as well as all mailing labels, get generated with the information you provide when we mail out report cards, notes, and letters throughout the school year.

Early Yearbook Sale is here - Get your yearbook now and save on the 2020 yearbook. the yearbook order form had an error. The cost of the yearbook from now until November 30th is $45, or $50 if you would like personalization. Get your 2020 yearbook for $45 NOW!!!  

Student Parking Permits - All students that drive to school must park in the student parking lot and have a 2019-2020 parking permit displayed on the rearview mirror. Parking permits are handed out in the school office.

Attention grades 9-12 next year if you are interested in taking classes through College Credit Plus, there will be an information meeting here at the high school on November 7, 2019, @ 6:00 pm in the Auditeria. Holly Cipriani from Bowling Green State University will be here presenting the information and representatives from Findlay, Owens Community College, Terra Community College, Heidelberg University, and Tiffin University will be available to answer individual questions after the meeting. Please plan to attend. If you need any further information, see Mrs. Hendrix.

Juniors Buckeye Boys and Buckeye Girls State- This is a great opportunity offered to Hopewell-Loudon Schools. Mrs. Hendrix has information on her webpage. If you are interested in attending, please her know so she can be sure to get you the information. It looks really good on your college applications to attend, and it is an awesome opportunity if you're interested in government.

HOBY - 2020 Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership. What: HOBY, The Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership is one of the oldest and most prominent youth leadership organizations in the world. The seminar is for a student who feels they are a strong leader, has the courage to speak up their beliefs, has concern for others, and is interested in improving their skills in critical thinking, goal setting, and would like to realize the importance of enhancing their leadership skills. WHO: Current Sophomores WHEN: Approximately June 6-9, 2020 - you must be able to stay the entire time. The exact date will come out on November 16, 2019, WHERE: Ohio Northern University for more information, visit www.hoby.org. See Mrs. Hendrix in the guidance office or talk to Peyton Burns our representative last year.

Seniors - you are required to have 20 hours of Community Service for Graduation. Those hours are due no later than March 13, 2020. Please turn those into Mrs. Hendrix or Mrs. Hoffman. If you are struggling to get service hours please see Mrs. Hendrix. Also, stop and see Mrs. Hoffman for dates/times of concession stand.

REMINDER: Please do not open doors for anyone trying to enter the building...other students, parents, visitors, delivery people etc. Please direct them to enter the office doors. This is a very important part of our security for our building.
