- My background
- I grew in New London, Ohio in a school setting very similar to
Hopewell-Loudon. I attended
Muskingum College in beautiful southeast Ohio. I have been married to my husband
Chad for eight years and we are the parents of three wonderful
children.

- Students read at their independent reading level. They are checked weekly for fluency
and comprehension.
- Students also read or listen to text at a higher instructional level
where good reading strategies are modeled by the teacher.

- Students complete writing projects that focus on the same topic as our
instructional text.
- Graphic organizers and spelling dictionaries aide students in organizing
details and providing editing tools.

- Students complete a daily time tests in order to reinforce basic math
facts.
- Students also complete daily Math boxes to practice previously taught
skills.
|
|

|
- Students will have a one-minute passage to read nightly along with their
leveled book.
- A reading packet with materials to support the leveled text will be sent
home Monday to be completed and returned by Friday.
- Expect spelling and math homework nightly.
