What is happening the weeks of
April 11th

  • Math –Addition as well as subtraction
  •        We will continue to review coins throughout the rest of the year!
  • Reading- We will be listening to many stories and creating images.  We will also be discussing different strategies we can read a word if we get “stuck”
  • Writing – We will continue to illustrate and write sentences in our journal. I am encouraging students to write 2 sentences to describe their picture.
  • Letter –   Z and Y
  • Sight words – too where
  • Social Studies – Continue to discuss cultures and our country

Things you can do to practice with your child
 Find the words in a newspaper or  magazine (they love to highlight these words in class or as we call it “buttering” the popcorn word)

    • May 5th and 6th – No school for kindergarten due to upcoming kindergarten screening
    • May 17th – Kindergarten Program

    • May 9th is our Monday Session
